MEMINTA DIBELIKAN RUMPUT LAUT

(Mazmur 119:140)
IT IS BETWEEN YOU AND GOD
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; be kind anyway
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and true enemies; succeed anyway
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; be honest and frank anyway
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; be happy anyway
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; do good anyway
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; it was never between you and them anyway
(Kent M. Keith)

WHAT MAKES A DAD
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the age,
The power of eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He know His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it.......Dad...

I found the answer in my room....
The FAN said, "BE COOL"
The ROOF said, "AIM HIGH"
The WINDOW said, "SEE THE WORLD"
The CLOCK said, "EVERY MINUTE IS PRECIOUS"
The MIRROR said, "REFLECT BEFORE YOU ACT"
The CALENDER said, "BE UP TO DATE"

MENJAWAB KRITIK

DEAR GOD
Dear God
I don't know about the challenges my friends are facing,
But you know everything.....
I hear their silence, You hear their plead.....
I see their laughter, You see their tears.....
I see what they receive, You see what they sacrifice.....
I see their happy faces, You see their scarred souls.....
I know their faith, You know their doubts.....
I know about their dreams, You know about their fears.....
Today, I pray to You to give them everything they need and bless them for all the times to come.....

THE FIVE W'S OF LIFE
WHO you are is what makes you special. Do not change for anyone
WHAT lies ahead will always be a mystery. Do not be afraid to explore
WHEN life pushes you over, you push back harder
WHERE there are choices to make, make the one you won't regret
WHY things happen will never be certain. Take it in stride and move forward

KETAATAN MENYEBERANG JALAN

SIX TERRIFIC TRUTHS ABOUT TIME
First: Nobody can manage time. But you can manage those things that take up your time.
Second: Time is expensive. As a matter of fact, 80 percent of our day is spent on those things or those people that only bring us two percent of our results.
Third: Time is perishable. It cannot be saved for later use.
Fourth: Time is measurable. Everybody has the same amount of time…pauper or king. It is not how much time you have; it is how much you use.
Fifth: Time is irreplaceable. We never make back time once it is gone.
Sixth: Time is a priority. You have enough time for anything in the world, so long as it ranks high enough among your priorities.
(Lewis Timberlake)
PIKIRKANLAH
Pikirkanlah hal-hal yang membuatmu bahagia,
bukan hal-hal yang membuatmu berduka
Pikirkanlah keindahan dan kebaikan dari sesamamu,
bukan sisi yang kotor dan buruk
Pikirkanlah berkat yang telah kau dapat,
bukan pencobaan yang kau dapat
Pikirkanlah nilai positif dari persahabatanmu,
bukan sisi kesalahan dan kelemahan
Pikirkanlah keuntungan yang telah kau dapat,
bukan kerugian yang kau buat
Pikirkanlah kata-kata baik yang telah kau ucapkan,
bukan kata-kata kejam dan bermusuhan
Pikirkanlah hari-hari yang indah dan menyenangkan,
bukan hari-hari penuh derita dan kesukaran
Pikirkanlah hari-hari yang penuh sukacita,
bukan hari-hari penuh kesuraman
Pikirkanlah harapan yang ada di hadapanmu,
bukan kesia-siaan yang ada di belakangmu
Pikirkanlah harta yang telah kau dapatkan,
bukan harta yang gagal kau temukan
Pikirkanlah pelayanan yang dapat kau berikan,
bukan hanya melayani diri sendiri
Pikirkanlah kebahagiaan orang lain,
dan melaluinya, kau akan menemukan dirimu!

THINGS YOU DON'T LEARN AT COLLEGE
RULE 1 - Life is not fair; get used to it.
RULE 2 - The world won’t care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.
RULE 3 - You will NOT
make 40 thousand dollars a year right out of high school. You won’t be a
vice-president with a car phone, until you earn both a high school and
college degree.
RULE 4 - If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss. He doesn’t have tenure.
RULE
5- Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had
a different word for burger flipping, they called it opportunity.
RULE 6 - If you mess up, it’s not your parents’ fault, so don’t whine about your mistakes, learn from them.
RULE
7 - Before you were born, your parents weren’t as boring as they are
now. They got that way from paying your bills; cleaning your clothes and
listening to you talk about how cool you are. So before you save the
rain forest from the parasites of your parents’ generation, try
"delousing" the clothes in your own room.
RULE 8 - Your school may
have done away with winners and losers, but life has not. In some
schools they have abolished failing grades; they will let you try as
many times as you want to get the right answer. This doesn’t bear the
slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.
RULE 9 - Life is not
divided into semesters. You don’t get summers off and very few
employers are interested in helping you find yourself. Do that on your
own time.
RULE 10 - Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop to go to their jobs.
RULE 11 - Be nice to nerds. Chances are you’ll end up working for one.
(Bill Gates)
PEOPLE WHO HAVE IT TOGETHER
- SELF AWARENESS
These people know who they are. They know their abilities and strengths, what they are capable of doing, and how to accomplish it
- CONFIDENCE
They lack fear
- SELF-WORTH
This is the most evidenced by their focus, not on themselves but on those they serve and work with
- A SENSE OF URGENCY
This means a "divine impatience" about everything they do
- A STRONG SENSE OF PERSONAL MISSION
There is a vision of what needs to be done and a passion and focus about doing it
- AWARENESS AND RESPECT FOR THEIR OWN UNIQUENESS
They don't compare themselves to others or worry about what they are not. Their focus is on what they are
- A CONSISTENCY TO THEIR LIVES
They are not tossed to and fro with every new idea or opportunity or change of events
- A SENSE OF CALMNESS AND SERENITY
They are often people who can keep their heads when all about them are losing theirs

THE GREATEST FAILURE IS NOT TO TRY.
When you dream, wake up and do.

THE ABC'S OF AN INSPIRED LIFE
Ask for what you want.
Be who you say you are.
Care about others.
Dare to live your dreams.
Ease through the day.
Find the best fit.
Give to another.
Hug a friend.
Inspire someone to greatness.
Jump over a boundary.
Kick a bad habit.
Leap across a fear.
Mention something uplifting.
Never say never.
Open your mind and heart.
Pursue your innermost passions.
Quit complaining.
Restore your smile.
Set your sights high.
Trust yourself.
Use all the day.
Value everything.
Wait until it feels right.
Xpress yourself.
Yank weeds from your mental garden.
Zoom into the now.

THE TOP 10 MISTAKES LEADERS MAKE
1. TOP DOWN ATTITUDE
The top-down attitude comes naturally to most people
Servant leadership is much more rare
Effective leaders see themselves at the bottom of an inverted pyramid

2. PUTTING PAPERWORK BEFORE PEOPLEWORK
The greater the leadership role, the less time there seems to be for people.
The greater the leadership role, the more important peoplework is.
People are opportunities, not interruptions.
The greater the leadership role, the more important peoplework is.
People are opportunities, not interruptions.
3. THE ABSENCE OF AFFIRMATION
Everyone thrives on affirmation and praise.
Leadership has as much to do with the "soft sciences" as with getting things done.
We wildly underestimate the power of the tiniest personal touch of kindness.
Learn to read the varying levels of affirmation your people need.

4. NO ROOM FOR MAVERICKS
Mavericks can save us from the slide toward institutionalism
They bring us the future!
Learn to recognize truly useful mavericks
5. DICTATORSHIP IN DECISION MAKING
Dictators deny the value of individuals.
The major players in an organization are like its stockholders. They should have a say in its direction.
The one who does the job should decide how it is done.
"Flat" organizations are the model of the future.

6. DIRTY DELEGATION
Overmanaging is one of the great cardinal sins of poor leadership.
Nothing frustrates those who work for you more than sloppy delegation with too many strings attached.
Delegation should match each worker's follow-through ability.

Delegation should match each worker's follow-through ability.
7. COMMUNICATION CHAOS
Never assume that anyone knows anything.
The bigger the group, the more attention must be given to communication
When left in the dark, people tend to dream up wild rumors.
Communication must be the passionate obsession of effective leadership.

8. MISSING THE CLUES OF CORPORATE CULTURE
Corporate culture is "the way we do things around here."
Never underestimate the mighty power of your organization's culture.
Cultivating and changing the culture should be one of leadership's top priorities.
Learn to respect values different from your own.

9. SUCCESS WITHOUT SUCCESSORS
Pride tightens the grip on leadership; humility relaxes and lets go.
Finishing well is an important measure of success in leadership.
Letting go of leadership is like sending your children to college: it hurts, but has to be done.
Mentoring is a nonnegotiable function of successful leadership.

10. FAILURE TO FOCUS ON THE FUTURE
The future is rushing at us at breakneck speed.
A leader's concentration must not be on the past nor on the present, but on the future.
Vision is an effective leader's chief preoccupation.
Organizations are reinvented with new generations of dreamers.

HARAPAN
Ingat, jangan pernah kehilangan harapan

UNDERSTANDING A PROBLEM
Deep optimism is aware of problems,
but recognize the solutions;
knows about difficulties,
but believe they can be overcome
sees the negative,
but accentuates the positive
is exposed to the worst,
but expects the best;
has reason to complain,
but prefers to smile

- We love each other and are best friends who inspire each other and stand together through the difficult times
- We like each other, we let each other be ourselves, and we work together well
- The support we give to each other during the good times and the not-so-good times
- Laughter, and the fun we have together
- Solid love and determination to make it work through the good and the bad
- There is never a dull moment
